I am so glad you decided to peek in.  I never quite know what to write in biography sections, but I always appreciate reading others, so I will try.

I grew up in Sweden and retain a special love for the magical forests of the North.  My family moved around a lot - I probably lived in a dozen houses by the time I was 16. Originally I went to University to study Fine Arts. My main instrument was vocals, I am a Mezzo Soprano. I also play piano, guitar and enjoy writing music.  It seems like I've had a love hate relationship with watercolor painting since time immemorial.  For years I worked as a musician in Norway.  I sang on street corners, in bars and restaurants. For a while I had an original song playing regularly on one of the Oslo stations.

Eventually life moved on, and I decided it was time to take a new path. In addition to the Arts, I have always been rather good with computers and became a Graphic and Website designer - a career I worked in for nearly a decade.

So, while I have been told I have an excellent eye for capturing the moment, I personally believe the hours spent and experience gained during my career of graphic design has a lot to do with my results as a photographer today.

Which brings me to my entrance into photography.  Working in graphic design, I already had an interest in beautiful images, so I became very interested in creating my own photos.

What started out as a hobby quickly became something more.  I signed up for the New York Institute of Photography Course and dove into this new and exciting journey of capturing life by the art of light. And I am so very happy I did. In retrospect, I realize that I have loved light in all its forms ever since I was a little kid. One of my most treasured memories as a child is waking up in my little bed with light gushing through the sheer curtains, and just being excited about the day. What I wouldn't give to have a photo of that!

While I am still fortunate to do a lot of traveling around the world, I am very happy to call the USA home - Missouri to be precise.  I moved to the Midwest in 2013 because, long story short, I found true love, decided to elope ❤ and ... here we are, three wonderful children, one more on the way and two rather goofy and large puppers later!

When it comes to my photography - it's crafted with love, quality, authenticity and quite a bit of fun. I believe in capturing real moments that can be treasured for a lifetime.

I always aim to make my clients feel at ease during their photoshoot. I love working with children and families. I will make silly faces and tell kid friendly jokes, if I think it will get me a smile or two. Pets are super welcome to join in the fun as well!

My style is candid, but upon request, I will do more formal photos too.
